A LOVELY MAN.
Memoir of the inimitable Anselm Tobias Merrywood.
Foreword
The public have spoken! You must meet the man. Be careful what you wish for! We, the custodians, speak from experience; our charge has a good story, but he tests the patience, wheedles for sympathy, makes a mockery of propriety. Yet we cannot deny the charm!
We have the complete manuscript at our disposal. At present, we are just introducing the work and will not reveal the identity of the author – a renowned novelist, a journalist trying something new, or some complete unknown? Neither will we say how we aquired the possession. Let your imagination run wild – an unscrupulous publisher took advantage of a jailbird, a nurse stole from a writer’s death bed, a landlord made the find after his troubled tenant vanished from the face of the earth? Nor will we here address the relationship; we might be literary agents, disciples spreading the word, or doctors at an insane asylum, releasing the crackpot grandeur as a cautionary tale! However, we guarantee to make the whole story available, with no charge, at this location.
If you simply cannot resist, you can start reading here. We plan to publish a new installment at weekly intervals; should you wish to receive an alert about the latest release, you can make arrangements here. The custodians will compile our notes here. You might also want to reach us, comment on the story, discuss the novel with other readers, which conversation can take place here.
